Frequently asked questions
What is wheel offset (ET)?
Offset is the distance in millimetres from the wheel’s centreline to its mounting face. Higher positive offset pulls the wheel further under the car; lower offset pushes it out toward the fender.
How do you calculate poke and inner clearance?
Half of the width change (in mm) is added to both sides. The offset change then shifts the whole wheel: inner change = width change ÷ 2 + offset change; outer change = width change ÷ 2 − offset change.
What is backspacing?
Backspacing is the distance from the mounting face to the inner lip. It equals half of the overall wheel width (rim width + about 1 inch for the flanges) plus the offset converted to inches.
Can I use a wheel with a bigger center bore?
Yes — a larger bore is fine with hub-centric rings that fill the gap. A smaller bore will not fit over the hub without machining.
